Adding and grouping objects

Below is the process that is occuring with the results. My
ultimate goal is to have the settings that are use to
stick and not return to defaults when ungrouped.

Adding and grouping objects, i.e., pictures and text boxes

1. Insert from Menu Bar

2. Select Picture

3. Choose a clipart - close

4. Insert text box header -

5. Format Text box - Layout - change from Square to In
front of text (is defaulting to square for text boxes yet
it defaults to In front of text on inserted clipart)

6. Insert text box article

7. Format Text box - Layout - change from Square to In
front of text (is defaulting to square for text boxes)

8. Group picture and boxes together

9. When ungrouping the settings for the text boxes return
to the Square option on Layout (which causes all objects
to scatter all over the page when the page is full with
other objects
