Adding contacts to an Outlook 2000 folder from an Outlook 2003 mai

Our Executive assistant uses Outlook 2003. She wants to add contacts to a
VP's Outlook 2000 mailbox folder. When she copies a contact over, it shows
for a second, then disappears.
We have given her Publishing Editor permissions on the target contact
folder. We also gave her full access to his mailbox to see if that will work.
The copying will work from 2003 to 2003, tho.
We will be upgrading the VP's software anyways, but I was wondering if there
was a fix or a workaround to allow her to work directly in the folder instead
of sending V-cards....

Since an OL2003 format pst is a different format to OL2K I would guess thats
the problem.
That being the case there is a workaround, but since you will be upgrading
stay with v cards till then

OK - I will rephrase part of the question...please would someone outline the
fix for this...I have other people she needs to 'assist'. I only have so many
licenses of the new software to go round and a budget freeze....

In order to use an OL2003 pst in an earlier version of OL you have to create
a new OL2003 pst, in the earlier format. (File/New/Data File......)
You then copy data from OL2003 format pst to the new 'old' format pst.
Be aware this old format pst will be subject to the pst size limitation,
whereas the OL2003 format pst will not.

The two people are not using pst's for mailboxes, they are Exchange server
resident...the contact folders are part of their mailboxes.
I have run into that pst version issue before, tho. Archive folders
especially, as our management have all been set up with them to keep mailbox
size manageable.
