Adding Custom Enterprise Fields in PS2003

When I add a previously unused custom enterprise field to the Enterprise
Global, sometimes data appears in the field for existing and new projects.
Does anyone know why this would happen? I would assume that all field values
should be blank.

The most likely explanation is that the field was used at one time or
another.

Gary - Thank you for your response. By the way, I think your books are
great. I am currently working my way through "Implementing and Administering
MOPS 2007".

If this is the case, why does information appear in some projects and not
others? Is there a way to clear a field before using it?

Perhaps the projects that show data were cloned from other projects that
used the data at one time...

Thank you for the insight. I guess I need to go back into the enterprise
templates and look at the custom fields for previously entered data.
