Adding Enterpise Resources without Exchange Account

We created some user accounts for outside partners to access the project
server with, and because we did not create exchange accounts, they are not
visible when i click Windows account from Project 2003.

I tried just adding the domain\account but they still cannot access the
project file from project server.

Is there a trick to giving users access to the project in project server
that I am not seeing? The users can login to project server fine - they just
cannot see any projects.

Thanks.

What group did you add the users to? Under your security setup, what
construct have you used to grant them access to the projects?

Which security setup are you referring to?

If you are referring to the projectserver security setup:

User Account: User One

Authentication Type: Windows Authentication

Account Status: Active

E-mail Address: [email protected]

Groups: Team Members
Categories: My Direct Reports, My Organization, My Projects, My
Resources, My Tasks

Groups as in Team Members
Categories as in My Projects

A combination of the two grants users access to objects and permsissions to
take actions

These must "add-up" to the rights you're trying to grant.

At this point I better ask what exactly you mean by "access the project
file from project server." Are you using Web Access or Project? What
functionality are you trying to expose?
