We have a signup form with a number of options such as registration
fees, t-shirt sales, raffles, etc. Users specifiy how many of each
item they want then total for the individual items and then a grand
total at the end.

It's a simple form, but I'd like to be able to do some Javascript that
would to the addition. Short of taking a course at the local JC, are
there code snippets anywhere that I might adapt?
