Adding hotmail account to OL 2003

2 weeks ago, my hotmail.com account stopped working in OL. So what I
did was removed it and readded it and it seem to work fine. I am not
even paying for an MSN subscription so not sure how the article still
applies?

It won't work soon - only paid accounts will.
