Adding IF statement results

I have cells with nested IF statements. I want to add all
of the values in the cells that are a result of the IF
statement. A regular =SUM statement is not giving me a
result. What can I do?

Please be a bit more precise. What formulas? What values? What result did
you expect? What did you get instead?

=IF(H3="Emp HMO",335.57,IF.........etc, Format Cells Currency. The way you
do it now makes the cell text, which can not be summed.

Should I be putting "Format Cells Currency" as part of the formula or
formatting all of the cells as currency? I have tried both and it didn't
work. Ihave found that if I take the entire formula and multiply by 1 (which
turns it into a number) it will add.

Your SUM formula gives 0 because you are inserting text in the cells rather
than numbers. Formulas can't apply formatting. You do that on the Format/Cells
menu.

BTW, why not use VLOOKUP for this? Put the HMO text entries in the 1st column,
then corresponding amount in the 2nd column. If the range is named Premiums,
the formula would be =VLOOKUP(H3,Premiums,2,0)
