Adding Music to a slide

I am trying to add music to a slide that has multiple points. When I show the
slide I can click and bring each point up but the music doesn't start until
the last point is showing. I would like to have the music start when the
slide first comes up with the points still not showing.

Click Slide Show > Custom Animation.
Check for the "play" effect. Re-order it to make sure that the play effect
is on top (first on the list), not at the bottom. Also, if you are using wav
file, you can click Slide Show > Slide Transition, and add the music under
modify transition setting.

Still doesn't work. My Custom Animation shows only a star and the music file
under the star. I can't move the music up higher. The music starts only after
I have clicked my was through the four bullets. I want it to start when the
slide first comes up.

pptheaven[at]gmail[dot]com. Replace the [at] with @ and [dot] with .
Thanks.

Using animation control note what items comes first when you select Timing.
Add the sound to the item that shows first.

Hi, thanks for sending me the file.
Realize that the animation is added in Slide Master. Now this is why getting
the file is easier for a workaround ;)

Here's what you should do:
Your animation is added in the slide master. Hence, if you intend to add any
music on slides, the text animation will always start first.

Since you are using wav fomat, the fastest way is to add the sound under
Slide Transition.
Delete the sound you have previously added.
Click Slide Show > Slide Transition.
Under Modify Transition section, click on the drop down box beside "Sound:".
Scroll to the bottom and select "other sound".
Now, search for the sound you want to add and click OK.
Also, put a checkmark to "Loop until next sound".

Repeat this step on the second slide.
See if that works for you.
