Adding pull down tabs in a worksheet

I was wondering if anybody could please tell me if or how
to add pull down menu's to my data in a worksheet

I'll tell you what I'm looking at doing, in specific cells I want to give them a list to choose from no other data can be entered in them but specific items

So you *do* mean:-

Data / Validation / List / 'Choose a named list or select a range'


With your list in say A10:A20, do Data / Validation / List / select A10:A20 and
hit OK

or

Name the range A10:A20 MyList, then do Data / Validation / List / and type in
=MyList
