Adding RSS newsfeeds

M

Michael Hoeben

I have seen a number of questions relating to my issue bit none of them
appear to anser the actual question.

I use frontpage 2000
I publish my site to an Apache server on linux running frontpage extensions.

So far so good. In fact, while frontpage may not be THE BEST program, I find
it suitable & quite simple to use.

Now I want to include some RSS newsfeeds into a particular position on one
of my pages.

Does anyone know if that can be incorporated into a frontpage web?
I mean; include a simple line of javascript or whatever (including my fairly
unique keyword) to just give the latest headlines for my company/industry
etc.
There appears to be a lot of programs out there to create feeds or use them,
but I'm finding it difficult to find something that can modified specifically
within frontpage.

Google news alerts may possibly be more suitable but perhaps they no longer
do that as I have not been able to connect to their site recently.

The only other option I have is once a week do a search for the phrase/name
in google news or yahoo news & copy the headlines to my site.

Actually, that is probably the quickest & easiest option, but if anyone
knows of anything automatically, then I would appreciate it.

My efforts thus far so you get the idea (using copy 'n paste) can be seen
at www.kleeneze-people.co.uk/kleeneze-news.htm

Thanks
Michael

Yes, but you will need to locate the JavaScript to do so, then you would just insert that into your
table cell in HTML view.
