Adding Sound

How do you add an .mp3 file to play in background on web page. According to
*help", .mp3 *is* an acceptable sound type, but when I try to add .mp3 sound
file to play in background via *page properties*, .mp3 is *not* available as
a file type. Any advice you can give me on this is greatly appreciated.

The "All Audio Files" option in Page Properties>Background Sounds does *not*
include .mp3 file type. There is *not* a "All Files" option in the
drop-down list, or at least not on mine. I am using FrontPage2003.

You can't select All Files in this dialog. In fact, there is only one entry
in the dropdown, and it is for Music Files or something like that.

Luke, .mp3 files have never appeared in this list of file types, but you can
still use them. You just have to enter the path yourself. For example, if
the MP3 file is in a directory called music and you are adding it to a page
in the root folder of your Web site, you would enter "music/song.mp3" to add
it as a background sound.

Even though, I do not have "All Files" option and the "All Audio Files"
option does *not" include .mp3, I *was* able to still enter the .mp3 file
name to add the .mp3 file to my web site.

Hmm, I thought that All Files included it.

Instead in the File Name box enter *.mp3 and it will display them.

Mike,
I wasn't aware of the *.mp3 (*.???) trick. That is a very helpful tip in
general. Thanks!
