Adding to notes field on form

I have built a form that needs to flow to several people for approval. Each
person can enter notes in the notes field. Is there a way to lock down the
notes that a person enters so that the next person can not change them but
only add to them?

If you're using one text box to enter the notes for everyone, that will be
difficult if not impossible to do.

What you could do is add that Notes field in a repeating section, and then
use Conditional Formatting to make the Notes field read-only based on a
certain condition, for example a user name. Then each user must add a new
section with a Notes field if they want to add notes. But an extra challenge
you'd have then is finding a way to prevent users to delete any existing
sections.
