adding total entries from one page to show on another

Hi there, bit of a novice with excel, is there a way of having the number of
entries counted and the total shown on a seperate page? can this be altered
automatically or by a simple click of a button, so easily updated as the
number of entries changes.
My most sincere thanks to anyone who can assist on this.

try this as a starting point. Put this in the cell you want the number of
items. COUNTIF(Sheet2!C1:C15,"A"). This is counting all the cell on sheet 2
in range C1:C15 with an 'A' in it.
