Adding two occurrences

Post in the same thread if you want to have help, don't ask people to find
your earlier posts

=SUMPRODUCT(--(Range1=crieria1),--(Range2=criteria2))

will count the occurrences where criteria1 AND criteria2 are TRUE
replace the ranges with your real ranges but don't use the whole column
(A:A, use A1:A500
or something)

Hi
simply add both formulas. e.g.:
=COUNTIF(B:B,"d")+COUNTIF(G:G,"m")
