Adding Users to Project Workspace in SharePoint

When we create a project it automatically creates a project workspace site in sharepoint but don't add the project resources to site users list......... do we have to manually add all the resources to the list whenever we create a project workspace in sharepoint..... isn't there a better way of automating this behaviour.

You need only publish the resource assignments to populate the SharePoint
users for the subweb.
