Adding users with Project Server 2003

Darren Kukulka

Hi,

I'm attempting to add users via the Admin web interface on Project Server
2003.

I have attempted to add a Windows Authenticated user and a Project Server
user.

In both cases the success dialog appears telling me te operation has
succeeded. However I cannot see the users in the userlist. Needless to say
I cannot log in as they appear not to exist!

Nothing is appearing in the event logs to suggest a problem.

Can anyone help?

Cheers,
Darren Kukulka

You need to add these users to the Enterprise Resource Pool in Microsoft
Project Professional. Hope this helps.

Dale,

But I have installed the non-enterprise version of Project Server 2003
(without Sharepoint services, etc) as we are in an evaluation/pilot stage at
the moment.

Darren.

Darren --

If you have installed the non-enterprise version of Microsoft Project Server
2003, then you cannot use enterprise features such as the Enteprise Global,
the Enterprise Resource Pool, and the Build Team from Enterprise dialog. If
you are in the pilot stage of your Project Server implementation, then I
believe you have made a mistake by installing the non-enterprise version.
How can you possibliy evaluate this product unless you take a look at all
features, many of which are enterprise features?
