adding video to powerpoint

I'm trying to add a video from my digital camera to my powerpoint, but an
alert pops up telling me "PowerPoint can't open the type of file represented
by dance 2 028." When I look at the properties of the video, it says "Type
of File: Video Clip." What can I do to change it to the right kind of file?

Video needs to be in a format and CODEC that your computer can use. Check
