Mike,
I think you're saying you have 30 workbook files, with one sheet in each
(?), that you want to consolidate into the first workbook. If so, have the
first workbook open, open each of the others, right-click the sheet tab,
select Move or Copy, open the To Book box, and select the first workbook.
Since you've removed the only sheet in the workbook, it will delete that
workbook file. Be sure to save the first one -- it now has those that you've
moved.
