Additional mailboxes will not go away

I have a user who occasionally opens additional mailboxes in the account
settings (Outlook 2003) However when they remove the mailbox in the account
settings it is still displayed in Outlook. Any ideas how to refresh Outlook
so that it knows not to open those mailboxes?
