Address Book and Contacts - What's the difference?

I've just upgraded to Office 2003, and have found that my Contacts list is
there and complete, but when I click on the Address Book icon in the
toolbar, I get the error 'The address list could not be displayed. The
Contacts...etc'. When I look in the help file, I can't follow their
guidance (Click on Tools, Address Book) because I still get the error.
