Address Book "Contacts (backup) [Exchange]" used for lookups

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC
Email Client: Exchange

In addition to my "Contacts [Exchange My Name]" address book, my Entourage shows a "Contacts (backup) [Exchange My Name]" address book, with outdated information.

If I am in my Mail view, and right-click on a sender or recipients address in the mail header to "lookup contact", Entourage goes to the outdated information in the "Contacts (backup) [Exchange]" address book. I also have an address book listed as "Exchange My Name", which if i click on it, I only receive a message that it can't find the server.

I right-clicked on the (backup) address book and chose to empty the cache, which Entourage then retrieved the same information from my Exchange server.

Can I delete this (backup) address book? I don't see a (backup) adress book on my Windows network PC's when I have Outlook open, so I don't know where it's getting this (backup) Contacts Address Book from.

Any help would be appreciated.

The name you're referencing, "Contacts [Exchange My Name]", isn't a
naming convention that Entourage uses and not one that I've seen
Exchange use. Either you or your Exchange service provider has created
that contacts list and the "backup" list. You should be able to delete
either without problems provided you're sure you've saved any data in it
that you don't want to lose.

Hope this helps!
