address book folders

Outlook 2003. I have a bunch of old, deleted folders still showing in
my 'drop down' list in address book.

I asked here, and was told how to go to tools/email accounts/view or
change existing directories, and delete those I did not want.

After doing this, I STILL have all folders in address book. But on
return to tools/etc the only folder there is ONE MAPI folder.

Now I was able to find, in address book, the settings to list where I
wanted address book to look first. And that's a help.

But I still have 13 folders (10 prior deletes) in the address book
drop down box...

Ideas???

You aren't in the right place. Delete the extras here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change. >

Then restart Outlook.
