Address line spacing in Word 2007

This is driving me nuts. When I type an address in Word 2007, it is set in
double spacing, despite the fact that the rest of the letter is single
spaced. Office help is worse than useless. Can anyone help?

Well, Office 2007 is a PC version & you've posted to the Mac Word group, but
the issue is the same. It isn't double spacing as the following article will
explain. There's also a way to change it but you may want to give further
thought to whether & how you want to proceed
