User's at specific cost centers have 2 system logon IDs. One is a generic ID
that provides few applications, while their employee-specific ID provides the
MS Office Applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). At these specific
cost centers, the PC's are thin client boxes.
I'm new to Outlook programming and am having trouble getting started with a
macro. I am creating a macro that needs to make sure the employee has signed
on with their employee-specific ID. The reason is I want to retrieve
information on the "owner", that is the person whose name would appear as the
"sender" in an Outlook message is that certain functionality is available to
individuals with certain titles.
My idea is to automatically open Outlook and a new e-mail (if necessary) to
retrieve the sender's info like, Name, Employee Id, Title, etc. I would then
like to close the e-mail (without sending it) and close Outlook. From there,
based on the "sender" information" I have retrieved, I can validate who has
signed on to the PC.
Is this possible? This application will reside at each cost center. Any
help getting started would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the
help..........
