Hi,
We've set up Managed Time Periods and require our resources to report hours
worked every day.
We have 2 issues we need assistance with.
Issue 1
One of our PMs adjusted ACTUAL WORK within Project Professional 2003, then
accepted the 'Out of Sync' message and saved. This in turn caused any
completed task to reopen. Why is this happening? We understand, the proper
way under managed time periods to adjust actuals is through the timesheet.
However, if a PM accidently changes Actual Work from within Project
Professional, then accepts the 'Out of Sync' message and saves, this causes
all the completed task within the project to reopen. Really strange!
Issue 2.
Again a different PM reduced hours in column WORK from within Project
Professional 2003, then accepted the 'Out of Sync' message and saved the
project. This in turn caused any completed task to reopen. Why is this
happening?
We recovered from both of these issues by deleting the Project from the
Project Server, then opening a local backup, and then re-saving the backup to
the server, then republishing.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
