Administration Options Freezing?

Has anyone come across the Admin page options (such as "Manage Users and
Groups" or "Manage Security") freezing up when you click on the links?

My server is presently locking out on 4 out of 5 sessions. I am left with
the blank grids, and a "not responding" instance of IE.

I've trawled the kb articles and spoken to colleagues but no-one has seen
this before.

Things to look at:

MDAC - Upgrade to latest version
Lockdown tool - Is it installed? If so, is it configured correctly?
IE Security settings

Yes - after updating User data, the sharepoint webs are sync:ed to handle
the new/changed user.
If the STS site is faulty or not configured correctly you'll never get away
from the Manage Users... page.
