Administrative install when using MST?

I am in the process of using GPO to install either Office 2003, or
simply Outlook 2003 (depending on the customer).

What I wonder about is the "famous" /A to create and administrative
install point...
Is this NECESSARY or simply copying the entire cd to a share and
putting the MST file created with the CIW is enough?
