Administrative Tasks

José M. Dominguez

Hello again:

I want to create administrative tasks like holidays.

I don't want anyone to plan this task, I don't want any
direct assignment to be made or mails been sent regarding
updates on this task. I just want all people to be able to
insert their hours on those tasks when they need to,
without having to insert zeros if they don't need to
insert hours (to avoid receiving a message of time sheet
not sent on homepage).

I don't want anyone accepting those hours into a project
and I don't want mails for those particular tasks to be
sent.

I have tried with administrative tasks template, but it
works just in the same way as normal tasks. I mean, If
someone updates his holidays hours, an administrator has
to accept those updates, and then as the administrative
tasks project is updated, a mail is sent to every member
of the organization informing of such update which is not
needed.

Is there a possibility of creating "non managed"
administrative tasks?

Thanks
José Manuel

The answer to your question is No. There is no "nonmanaged tasks"
capability in any version of Project Server. Sorry.
