adobe 6 installation

When reinstalling adobe 6 I am unable to convert a word document into a pdf.
Message I get is 'PDF maker cannot locate Adobe pdf printer's printer driver,
please re-instally' Each time I do this the same thing happens. Any help
would be apprecieted. Thanks

Helpful if you supplied the version of Windows and Office you are using. I
am going to assume Windows XP and Office 2003.

I recall reports of some compatibility problems with Adobe Acrobat Version 6
{depending on the updates installed} and Windows XP and also Office 2003.

Look in Control Panel, Printers and Faxes. Is Adobe PDF listed there? If
listed, can you covert the file in Windows Explorer by right clicking on the
file and selecting Convert to Adobe PDF?

Do you have all the updates to Acrobat? You can check for updates by opening
Acrobat and going to Help menu.
