Adobe Acrobat Reader and Publisher

Why does Publisher list Adobe FIRST among the objects under its insert menu
and then not allow Reader files to be inserted? Sadistic bastards. A day of
my life wasted. Anyone know a decent cheap program to design websites?

You might want to take a moment and read more carefully. You can insert
"Adobe Photoshop Elements Image", not a pdf file.

I don't appreciate the sarcasm. I am looking at the choices now. It clearly
says ADOBE ACROBAT DOCUMENT underneath it also has Adobe Photoshop Elements.
It allows images to be placed on Publisher but will not function in the
preview. Same if it is added to Powerpoint first. Trying to hyperlink to the
FTP server in GoDaddy only gets through to the password protected firewall. I
need reasonablly quick, specific info.

It lists Adobe first because it starts with an A.
It does allow you to insert PDFs (not sure what you mean by Reader
files...since they ARE PDFs)

Cheap program to design websites: Notepad

However...it would help if you explained what you are doing...inserting a
PDF to be displayed on a website page? or opened in a viewer's browser?
If you want to display it ON the page you'd need to convert the pdf to a big
gif or jpg, if you want it opened in a viewer's browser you'd upload the pdf
then create a link to it.
