Adobe for Office 2007 Beta 2

Phil Harris

Hi Folks,

I'm using the new 2007 beta 2 office suite. Unfortunately, Adobe is not
listed as a Trusted Publisher for this version and my use of Adobe 7.0.8
Professional does not work at all for Excel 2007. Are there any new patches
or tricks I should use to get Adobe to work?

Thanks

Hi Phil,

Do you mean the Adobe add-in for Excel? To my knowledge, it doesn't work
with 2007. You'll have to rely on the Adobe printer driver or use the MS
save as PDF feature.

So, Tell me again why I am using Office? Seems that my Adobe Professional 7.0 X pdfmaker files will not install in the start up files for office - There fore I have to print to pdf to convert - Sick of the lack of compatibility for every version - Only installed the BETA because a 2003 Power Point will not present correctly in office 2000 - (backwards compatibility issue) Therefore - One More Time let me upgrade just so I can display the presentation for my business meeting - Absolutely ridiculous - now we will need to wait for another patch just so a good product (acrobat) can function correctly- (Humm, always worked before).

Actually, the Adobe Acrobat plugins (pdfmaker) for Office are and always
have been a piece of crap. I never use them and rather use the Adobe PDF
printer which works well. The Adobe plugin for Outlook is the single
biggest pain in the butt with Outlook 2007 Beta, as it manages to crash
it whenever you hit new email message, reply, etc. Adobe actually
"fixed" this issue just recently by automatically disabling their
Outlook plugin in 2007. The fix is included in Adobe 7.0.7 and can be
downloaded from:
http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/332877.html

In terms of compatibility, Adobe still hasn't made their Outlook plugin
compatible with Outlook 2003 SP2 e.g.

Blame Adobe for this problem, not Microsoft.
