ADOX can't create text fields that aren't "required"

I'm trying to use ADOX (in visual basic) to create Access
databases. I'm trying to create a text field that has the
property "allow zero length" of TRUE, and the
property "required" of FALSE. But I don't know how to do
that.
Anyone?
