Hi there,

I have created a database in Sql server 7.0. The Sql server database is the
backend and xyz.adp is the front end.

I have the following problem:
From where I am accessing the sql server database through an ADP access
project, I can't change or modify the tables, views or anything else.

I get the following error message: you don't have exclusive access to the
database at this time. Your design changes will not be saved.
Although that message pops up when no one else is actually logged on???

The person who administered the database can actually change / modify the
tables without any problems at all. Although tests from other machines other,
than his own, confirm that it is working as it should.

We tested, whether the issue could be related to a network issues, though we
implemented appropriate network access wrights, without any effect.

On the SqlServer I have full admin wrights to change and modify all objects.

I run access 2000, with service pack 1 installed. I aim to install service
pack 2 and 3 to see whether that makes any differents.

What am I missing here?
Any other suggestions, comments??

Kind regards

Normanf
