Advanced countif() help needed

Hi folks.

I am looking for assistance in trying to figure out a
formula. I am trying to count the number of rows in a
spreadsheet that have (for example) the number 1000 and
the word WIN. The numbers would be in Column A and the
words would be in column B.

I think it is a combination of the functions AND() and
COUNTIF(), but for the life of me I can't figure it out.

I appreciate any help you can offer. As a first time user
to this newsgroup, I will promise that I will do my best
to help others as well since Excel is pretty much my life
these days.

=sumproduct((a2:a200="win")*(b2:b200=1000))

=SUMPRODUCT(--(A1:A10=1000),--(B1:B10="WIN"))
