advanced edit of signature not launching program - outlook 2003

I just upgraded from Office XP to Office 2003 along with Outlook 2003. When
I goto tools>options>mail format; I have chosen HTML as the format and
checked both the boxes to use word 2003 as my editor.

Onto signatures, create new or edit. Clck the advanced edit. Office
assistant pops up to ask if it's ok to continue with the external program. I
choose yes then nothing.

Any ideas?

Uncheck Word as your editor and you'll be able to access signatures.
