What does "won't work" mean in this case? How did it "work" to begin with?

I have Safety Videos in a table that I use for training, This database
alllows my people to watch a video and and then answer questions. The movie
would start in a window I set up in a form. The movie would be sized to fill
the fake tv screen I built in the form. After installing Media Player 10 the
Access could not locate the viddeo or start the OLE server (MEdia Player).
"Access could not communicate with the OLE server, You should Re-install the
server....). Registering the program did not solve the problem and then I
noticed that this occurrs with any OLE server whether Word, Excel, Adobe,
etc. so I assume there is more than just Media Player at work here. I have
been using this database for about three years now iwth no problems. Luckily
I have coomputers at all my divisions that I do not allow to be connected to
the network or change the siftware, any thoughts?

I noticed you posted a bunch of stuff for ISA server, I have no idea what ISA
Sever is. In fact this is the first time I have ever heard of it. Are you
saying my problem is somehow related...?

No.

That is my "Signature"
I spend most of my time in the ISA Groups. They address "common" questions
that I get tired of answering, so I leave them in my signature and tell
people to just look there.

It does not apply to you

You used a "Control" in the Form. The Control, particularly its Class ID
(the GUID), is tied to the form. When you updated the Media Player it
probably changed the GUID and "broke" the Form.

Probably if you delete the Control from the Form, save the Form, and then
add the control back, and save the Form again,...it may correct it.

That is my "guess" for the day, anyway.
