After installing microsoft office 2000 I can't open the programs .

When trying to open a program this message appears...This application must be
installed to run. Please run setup from the location where you orginally
installed the application. Even after I have installed the application
Microsoft Office 97 Small Business Edition and the Office 2000 Small business
update.
I want to know why this message is appearing and how I can use my microsoft
office programs.
