We had some brief power outages yesterday at my apartment complex and now, MS office programs all crash at the open. I've deleted my user/library/preferences. No change. I can login as a different user and the programs open, so I'm just missing something. I had Word and Excel opened when the power went out. Thoughts?

I should also add it's driving me insane. I know the answer is right in front of me, I just can't find it.

Hi,

Run a disk repair utility such as Alsoft's DiskWarrior, TechTool Pro,
Drive Genius, or at least run the Disk Utility in the Utilities folder
and verify the drive.
