After publishing 80004005 System Error

SmilesDL

I keep getting this in-famous-un-documented error. I have read the KB
that relates to this and the previous postings in this newsgroup. I
can not find out how to resolve this issue.
All permisions are ok in the ViewDrop Folder, and several of the other
suggestions below.

In the past I used to get related problems when a Window User account
was incorrect for any of the team members or when a team member was
inactive... but now, nothing that I do seems to get rid of this
problem.

Any suggestions?

David

Check whether sharepoint subwebs are created or not I
think this error is
1) Your sharepoint is not provisioned properly
2) Sub is not created automatically

Resolution:
1) delete the pscomplus and re-run PSComplus
2) Open Project Web Access as Admin and Click on link
Manage Sharepoint Team Services and Click on modify the
server Don't make any change and save if by chance there
is some loss of connection it will repair it

There is a KB that refers to this error (328249). Check
that out.

I also discussed this with a PSS Rep ("Randy"), who told
me that there are 4 settings that need to exist on
the 'ViewDrop' folder in order to allow ProjectPro users
to write to it:

1. Local Administrators - "Full Control"
2. System - "Full Control"
3. IIS Service Account (IUSER_<SERVERNAME>) - "Full
Control"
4. Authenticated Users - "Full Control"
I added the 'Everyone' group, just in case.
PSS-Randy also told me that sometimes things get clogged,
and that what often helps is to bounce the "Views
Notification" service.

I am suspicious of a security issue here - was there any other mention
in
the error message of a ten digit number (before the 80004005) and was
it
specified as a run time error ?

Please confirm the OS and infrastructure that is in place on the PC's
concerned
