After resizing a graphic in Word, how do I save it as a graphic?

I can open a gif or a jpeg picture in word and resize it or edit it. How do I
save it as a gif or jpeg picture? It keeps turning it into a Word document.

Word is _not_ a graphics editor - it is a word processor. Word includes
some tools to handle graphics because they are used in many documents. Word
can do a few basic operations to a graphic to make it look better in your
document, but it does _not_ do graphics editing.

I suggest you download a free graphics program called Irfanview
(www.Irfanview.com) and use that to edit your graphics. Then insert the
edited graphic into Word.
