Error

An unexpected error has occurred.

Is this occurring for all users or just a few/one?

Start by looking in the event logs on the Project Server. Some errors
may make it to those logs. Otherwise you will need to start looking
into the ULS logs. We have seen similar errors occur for specific
users that are assigned to corrupted tasks. Deleting the published
version of the project and republishing will fix this, if you can
determine what project might be causing the problem.
