Ah! Lost all my web links.

It seems I have lost all of my web links that are stored in "Web Folder" -
the system folder one level below "My Computer" (Win2K/FP2K). I discovered
this when I attempted to open one of my sites on the server. On FP2K, when I
clicked FILE/OPEN I get the standard window with the icons on the left - one
being "Web Folder" which I could click and it would have a list of my
various web sites - not now!

I hope opened the "Web Folder" through Windows Explorer and use the built-in
"add Web Folder", but after going through each step - the final result left
nothing in the folder and no reference when I try to access through FP.

But I think I know where these shortcuts have disappeared to.. a folder at
C:\WINDOWS\NETHOOD.

So it appears the data is there, but when I click on FILE/OPEN in FP,
nothing is listed under "Web Folder" - so it looks like there's a
communication breakdown - I guess.

So any ideas on how I would get these files to show up like they use too?

Thanks - Lynn

Hi,

I had removed the "Network" icon from the desktop - this proved the missing
link - once returned - all web site links reappeared in the "Web Folder".

sorry - maybe the above will be helpful for someone else...
