Dear sir
Searching for the way of changing colors of a picture from clip organizer
in
PowerPoint 2007, I came across this protocol:
When you insert a Microsoft Windows Metafile from the Clip Organizer, you
can change the colors in the picture (for example, to match the color
scheme
of your presentation). If the picture is a bitmap, .jpg, .gif, or .png
file,
you need to edit its colors in an image editing program.
1. Select the picture you want to modify.
2. On the Picture toolbar, click Recolor Picture
3. Do one of the following:
1. Click Colors to change any color in the picture.
2. Click Fills to change only background or fill colors in the picture.
4. Select the check box for each color you want to change. To choose a
different color, click the arrow next to the new color to see more colors.
But there is no Colors or Fills options in the Recolor Picture menu. There
are just five options: Color Modes, Dark Variations, Light Variations,
More
Variations and Set Transparent Colors. I did not have this problem with
PowerPoint 2003 and could change colors of a windows metafile (*.wmf)
easily
. I would be grateful if you help me.
Regards,

Hello Ahmad,

This newsgroup is to allow people to help each other with PowerPoint for
Macintosh questions, answers, and comments.

If you are using Mac PowerPoint then this is how to do it using a specific
example:

1. Click the Clip Art button on the Drawing toolbar. (If the drawing toolbar
is not visible then use View > Toolbars > Drawing to activate it).
2. In the Clip Gallery window, on the left side click "Academic" and on the
right side Click the "Graduate" clip once to select it and then click the
Insert button.
3. When you return to the PowerPoint normal view the clip will be selected
and the Picture toolbar will be displayed (unless you click somewhere else
on the screen to turn it off).
4. Click the Format Picture button on the Picture Toolbar
5. Click the Picture tab of the Format Picture dialog box
6. Click the Recolor button
You can map any existing color to any new color using this method, and it
only works with certain kinds of clip art, as you mentioned.

If the functionality exists at all in PowerPoint 2007 I would try
right-clicking on the clip art object and choose Format Picture and look for
a Picture control somewhere.
