Alert Emails

I was wondering if there is a way to edit the default alert emails that are
sent out to resources.

I would like to display the task hierarchy in alert emails, for example show
the main tasks and their subtasks underneath.

I also have been getting email where the links inside them are incomplete, I
was wondering why this was?

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
