How can I make these cells add together letters as well as integers?
e.g. 4 + y should equal 4 +y not #VALUE!

e.g. 4 + y should equal 4 +y not #VALUE! and 7 + ~VALUE! should
equal 11 + y etcetera, always adding the two cell in the row above.
