aligning decimal points

does anyone know how to align decimals? I have inserted functions into
several cells, and when i copy it into the word doc, and open back up
as a template, the decimals dont line up. Is there a way to format the
cells so the decimals line up?

Within XL, you can align decimals using

Format/Cell/Number/Custom 0.???

which will allow up to 3 decimal places.
