All cells won't paste???

I have a workbook provided by a customer, that they want data put into and
sent back to them. The easiest way to do this is to copy and paste data out
of an existing workbook that we have here. I'm trying to copy 9 columns of
data and paste it in. But, when I paste, only 6 columns actually go into
the sheet.

The first time I tried it, it said that the sheet was protected, so I tried
removing the protection, it asked for a password so I just "guessed".. it
didn't say it was "wrong", the dialog box just went away. It then allows me
to paste, but like I said, only 6 of the 9 columns.

Help???

Thanks!!
Shawn

It's not just based on number of championships won. Richard Petty won
200 races and 7 Daytona 500s in his 30+ year driving career. He also has
the most top-5s (555), top-10s (712), poles (126), laps completed
(307,836), laps led (52,194), races led (599) and consecutive races won
(10 in 1967) of any driver in NASCAR history.

When a Worksheet is Password Protected the protection is
supossed to extend only to certain areas as selected by
the person Proctecting the Sheet. If they have blocked
other users from adding Rows and Columns you cannot do
this without the password and guessing will not get it
done. You must have the Password and it is case
sensitive.
Maybe the Sender will give you the Password to remove the
protection and then let them have the porblem of how to
put 9 columns of data into a 6 column worksheet

Are 3 columns hidden in the range you are pasting to?

No, don't appear to be. As I said, worksheet is protected, but I "guessed"
at the password and it works. *g* Let's put it this way, I tried other
things and it says wrong password, but when I try this one, it just takes me
back to the sheet, so I guess it's unprotecting(says in the tool menu now to
"protect worksheet" instead of unprotect). Then I can check the cell
properties, and they don't show as locked or hidden either one.

I also unprotect the workbook prior to trying to paste the data in. I've
just done a cntl-v to paste, and I've also tried paste special/values. Same
result. Also tried inserting copied cells, again, same result.

And, it's always the same result when I open the workbook fresh. I can
understand their want/need to protect some things, like where they have
formulas, but this in in fields where you can enter the data.

Oh, another thing. I can copy and paste the last three columns of data
individually, no problem.

Nevermind, I figured it out. Stoopid me... ;) They've "shrunk" down entire
columns so they don't "show". What was happening was that actually the
first, and last columns of data were copying in. Well, actually I suppose
all of them were, but I couldn't see the middle three because they have
columns "shrunk" and you can't see them. Now I see the problem with copying
and pasting.

Thanks for everyone's help! I'll figure something out now, probably macro
it. :)
