all holidays marked as private?

Does anyone know of a way to make all holidays NOT private? Somehow, during
the installation of the ipaq 2210 for one user, it created duplicate entries
for all of the users appointments, events, etc... and marked them as
private. I was able to run a utility to that deleted one of all of the
duplicate entries but it deleted the original entry and not the ones marked
private. I've gone thru the users appts., events, etc. and unchecked
private but all future Holidays are still marked as private. Any help would
be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry, I'm not replying to your question. I have a question for you, what
do you use to delete duplicate calendar entries? We also have the same
problem here.
Thank you in advance.

I'm assuming the duplicates are in the desktop copy of Outlook, not on the
IPAQ. If I'm correct, try the following:

1) Create a table style view of your Calendar with a filter to show only
items belonging to the Holiday category

2) In the Customize Current View dialog box, click the Group By button, then
group the items by the Private field. Check the "Show field in view" box so
it will appear as a column too.

3) If all items appear in the Private group, change one of them so it is not
Private. That will create another group for the not Private items.

4) Drag all the items from the Private group to the other group.

I'm not sure why they were marked private in the first place, though.
Usually holidays are not private by default.
