All incoming messages that I receive in Outlook that have either a regular
web link address or a hyperlink when "clicked" take me to the same program -
updating "It Deductible" program - rather than the actual link. Any
suggestions?

Clean your system of spyware. Download, install, update and
scan with Ad-aware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com

I have the same exact problem - hyperlink keeps updating "It Deductible"
program. Have loaded Lavasoft program and run - still get "Its Deductible"
program when I click on hyperlinks. I guess that I should uninstall Spybog
next? Inxcidentally, am unable to check messages about this problem in my
e-mail because they also are posted as hyperlink! Thanks for any thoughts.

Correct the file associations. In Windows Explorer, click Tools>Folder
Options and select the File Types tab. Locate the URL:HyperText Transfer
Protocol file type. Select it and click Advanced, then Edit. In the
"Application used to perform action" field, enter

"%ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\Iexplore.exe" -nohome

Note the quotes. Check the "Use DDE box, and make sure the "DDE Message"
field contains

"%1%",,-1,0,,,,

the Application field contains "IExplore" (without the quotes) and that the
Topic field contains "WWW_OpenURL" (without the quotes). Click OK, then OK.
Do the same for the URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy file type.

Brian,
Did this but when I clicked OK, got message: "Application: File Types "The
specific program could not be found. Make sure the file name and path are
correct." What am I doing wrong (though I note that Netscape is listed as
Application . . . Is this where my problem is? Thanks.

Brian,
Solved the problem by changing from Netscape back to IE - reset web setting.
Thanks for the help
