I have a computer where all the Office component refuse to open. This
computer is used by variouses users, so it may be a virus or something like
this. So is there a known issue with my problem, or a known virus? Office 200
is installed on a WinXP Home Edition.

Thanks

You haven't given us very much information to go on.

What happens when you try to open an Office application? Do you get error
messages? How are you trying to open the apps? (Start|Programs, double-click
an associated file, a shortcut on the desktop, something else?) Which
version of Office (you have a typo below -- 200)? Which applications
specifically? Since it may be a virus, have you run a virus scan?

We can't see what's happening, so you have to be our eyes.

Scuse it's my fault. I did not specified what is happening because, nothing
happen when I double click on the word icon, for example, when you double
click you see the little sand glass and that's it. It's Office 2000. It's
missworking with the all Office software. I've tryed reinstalling Office with
the Offrice CD tool, and by uninstalling/installing Office.

Okay, thanks.

Have the Office programs ever worked? Did they stop working recently,
perhaps after you installed a Windows Service Pack or other software or
service packs?

Have you run a virus scan? I would do that to ensure you're virus-free.

Which antivirus program are you using? After making sure you're indeed
virus-free, you might want to diasble your virus scan software (temporarily
for this test) and see if you can then open Word and Excel and other Office
applications.

You might also try going to Start|control Panel|Add Remove Programs, select
Microsoft Office 2000, click the Change button, and then Repair Office.

Hello

Did you or did anyone install ANY Trial version(s) of Office on the computer by any chance?
